Final Assignment: Orientation estimation of a cellphone using EKF and Sensor Fusion. In this project accelerometer, magnetometer and gyroscope measurements were used in a sensor fusion fashion to estimate the orientation of a cellphone. **Sensor Fusion** is the broad category of combining various on-board sensors to produce better measurement estimates. These sensors are combined to compliment each other and overcome individual shortcomings. Sensor fusion sometimes relies on data from several of the same type of sensor (such as a parking sensor), known as competitive configuration. However, combining different types of sensors (such as fusing object proximity data with speedometer data) usually yields a more comprehensive understanding of the object under observation. Sensor fusion is the process of merging data from multiple sensors such that to reduce the amount of uncertainty that may be involved in a robot navigation motion or task performing.
